Our aim

This site should work for everyone, including people using a screen reader, navigating by keyboard, or browsing with motion or contrast preferences set.

What we have done

• Semantic HTML with a single clear heading structure on every page, so a screen reader can navigate by headings.
• Every interactive element is reachable by keyboard, with a visible focus outline that meets contrast requirements.
• A skip link at the top of every page jumps straight to the main content.
• Text meets or exceeds WCAG 2.2 AA contrast against its background. Large display text and buttons were checked separately at their own thresholds.
• All meaningful images carry descriptive alternative text; decorative elements are hidden from assistive technology.
• Form fields have real labels, hints are programmatically associated with their inputs, and errors are announced rather than shown by colour alone.
• Every animation respects the "reduce motion" setting. With it enabled, content appears immediately rather than sliding in.
• Tap targets on mobile are sized for comfortable use.
• The site works with JavaScript disabled for reading content.

Where we know there is more to do

Accessibility is not a box that gets ticked once. As builds, photography and articles are added, alt text and heading structure need to keep up.
