Engine Performance
Power upgrades planned around a target and a use case, not around whatever makes the biggest number.
Power is the easy part. Making power that the rest of the car can live with is the job.
Every engine package has a weak link. Fueling, cooling, the clutch, the transmission, the tires. A good plan finds that limit before the dyno does.
Start from the target
Two numbers decide almost everything: the power you want and the reliability you need. A car that sees three track weekends a year and a car that sees a commute every day get different answers to the same request.
Supporting systems come first
Fuel supply, cooling capacity and oil control set the ceiling on what an engine can safely make. Those get addressed as part of the package rather than after something goes wrong.
What this covers
- Forced induction hardware and supporting systems
- Cooling, fueling and oiling to match the power level
- Internal engine work where the target requires it
- Supporting drivetrain considerations
