Width, offset and diameter have to clear suspension, arches and brakes at full lock and full compression. Getting that wrong is expensive in a way that shows up on the bodywork.

A drag radial that hooks on a prepped surface is a liability in the rain, and a street tire will not put down what a built car makes. Pick the tire for how the car actually gets used, not for a number you will never run.
